Research Summary
This study proposes an improvement plan for Baegun Station and its surrounding area on the Gyeongin Line to reconnect communities divided by railway infrastructure and promote local regeneration. The plan emphasizes the efficient use of railway-edge land to establish a three-dimensional transfer system and improve passenger accessibility and convenience.
It also seeks to restore green corridors fragmented by the railway and create a safer, more environmentally sustainable residential and pedestrian environment. By integrating station redevelopment, land-use efficiency, green-network restoration, and neighborhood improvement, the proposal repositions the railway from a physical barrier to a connective hub supporting community revitalization.
